Did you know that you can travel to Europe for less than £150?! Hotels and flights included! Travelling can be affordable and is for everyone!
TRAVEL DURING OFF/LOW SEASON
Low/off season usually occurs between November and March, however, can differ from country to country. During this period there are cheaper flights, hotels and fewer tourists at popular attractions. So before travelling to a destination, research the prices of flights and hotels during different times of the year to find the best deal. The downfalls of traveling in low/off season is that the weather is milder, so you may need to wear long sleeves instead of vest tops. Additionally, prices can increase in December due to Christmas – we definitely recommend going to German Christmas markets!
COMPARE FLIGHTS FROM DIFFERENT AIRLINES

Using websites such as Skyscanner will automatically compare the prices of flights from different airlines, where you can pick the cheapest airline to fly with. You can easily find flights to Europe for under £100 using these kind of sites.
STAY IN ACCOMMODATION ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF THE CITY

The closer you stay to the city centre, the more expensive your stay will be. Europe has fantastic travel links and a 20-minute journey into the city centre from your hotel can reduce the cost of your stay by at least £30. When searching for a hotel set the filters to ‘lowest-highest price’ and ‘private bathroom’, this will show you the cheapest hotels first and ensure that the room has a private bathroom for you to use – if you don’t mind sharing with others then simply skip this step. While the vibe of the hotel is important, use Google maps to determine the journey from the hotel to the city centre. Would you be happy with a 20-minute bus or train ride into the city centre in the morning? If so, this is a great way to save money and experience real life in the city. On the other hand, you can stay in the city centre (which is more expensive) but not have to travel in the morning and save money on travel fares.
